There are 112 open Developer Advocate roles in the US right now, spread across 68 companies. New postings climbed 43% over the last 30 days compared with the 30 days before that, 60 new roles against 42. That is a real jump, but the weekly count has actually eased since its high point.
Look at the week-by-week pace and you see the peak was the week of 12 October, with 18 new roles. By the week of 26 October, that had dropped to 11, a 39% pull-back from the peak week. So the month looks strong overall, but the most recent week is quieter than the one that drove the gain.
NVIDIA leads hiring with 28 open roles, by far the largest single employer in this market. Apple, Factory, Intel and Major League Hacking each have a handful more, and together the top 8 companies hold 43% of all open roles. NVIDIA, Apple, Intel, Amazon and Cerebras appear on the US H-1B sponsor list, and 57% of all open roles sit at employers with recent visa filings.
Pay is posted on 58% of roles, and the typical range across all levels runs from $178k to $250k. Senior and lead roles typically run $184k to $288k, mid-level roles $172k to $242k. Experience expectations are high too: the median minimum asked is 6 years, 23% of roles want 10 or more years, and 61% of postings state a years requirement at all.
On skills, half of all postings mention AI and machine learning, and a quarter ask for Python. NVIDIA's own tools show up often: CUDA-X, NVIDIA NIM and NVIDIA NeMo each appear in roughly 1 in 10 postings, which tracks with how much of this market NVIDIA itself represents. Remote options are limited, just 27% of roles, and median time a role stays open is 64 days.
