Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
If you are hunting for a Product Marketing Manager role in Europe, this is a good week to look. New postings in the last 30 days rose to 73, up from 61 in the previous 30 days, a 20% increase. The weekly pace has held close to its best week of the last two months, so this is not a one-off spike.
Nobody owns this market. With 195 roles spread across 164 companies, the eight biggest hirers together hold only 14% of all open roles. Grafana Labs and Infineon lead with 6 roles each, followed by Doctolib with 5 and Infobip with 3. That means your best strategy is to cast a wide net rather than chase one or two big names.
Most of these jobs are built for people in the middle of their careers, not the top. 53% of titles are mid-level, and only 19% are senior, with just 7% of postings asking for 10 or more years of experience. The median minimum experience asked for is 5 years, so this is a market where solid, proven experience matters more than a long track record at the top.
Two things to know before you apply. Remote work is rare, with only 9% of roles open to it, so expect to be near an office. And pay is rarely shared, with just 11% of postings stating a salary, so you will likely need to ask directly. On skills, AI and machine learning show up in 13% of postings, by far the most common technical mention, and SaaS is the industry named most often, in 19% of roles.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Apply widely, not narrowly
The top 8 employers hold only 14% of open roles. With 164 companies hiring, spreading your applications across many employers beats focusing on one or two big names.
- Aim for mid-level roles
53% of open roles are mid-level and only 19% are senior. The median minimum experience asked for is 5 years, so this market rewards solid experience over decades at the top.
- Don't count on remote or a listed salary
Only 9% of roles are remote and just 11% list pay. Plan to work near an office and be ready to ask about salary yourself during the process.
Momentum
New PMM roles each week
Last 30 days: 73 new roles, against 61 the 30 days before (+20%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
