Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

Sales hiring in the UAE picked up sharply. In the last 30 days, companies posted 159 new sales roles, up 41% from the 113 posted in the 30 days before that. The weekly count backs this up: new postings went from 23 in the week of 28 September to 49 in the week of 26 October, the highest of the eight weeks tracked, and that week is also the most recent one, so the climb has not cooled off yet.

There are 514 open sales roles right now, spread across 273 companies. A typical role stays open 22 days before it is filled or pulled. The eight biggest employers together hold only 19% of all open roles, which tells you hiring is not bunched up in a handful of firms. Mashreq has 16 open roles, Bayut Dubizzle and Jobs at Yubi each have 15, Marriott International has 14, and ADIB has 13, but plenty of hiring is happening outside this list too.

Most roles are aimed at people with some years under their belt. The median minimum experience asked for is 5 years, and 17% of roles want 10 years or more. 69% of postings spell out a specific years requirement. By title, 69% are mid-level, 12% principal and 11% senior, so this is mostly a market for people past their first few years in sales rather than a junior entry point.

On skills, CRM experience is named in 28% of postings, more than anything else, with Salesforce showing up in 11% and AI and machine learning in 6%. Banking is the most named industry background at 11%, followed by SaaS at 10%, financial services at 7%, real estate at 6% and payments at 5%. If you're deciding what to put at the top of your CV, these are the terms showing up most.

Two things to know before you apply. Only 5% of these roles are remote, so most will expect you in an office. And on pay, too few roles post a salary figure to say what the market is actually offering, so you'll likely need to ask directly.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Hiring is speeding up

New sales postings rose 41% over the last 30 days, and the week of 26 October had the most new roles yet (49). This is a good week to have your applications ready.

  • Look past the big names

The top 8 employers hold only 19% of the 514 open roles. Mashreq, Bayut Dubizzle, Jobs at Yubi and ADIB are hiring, but most roles sit with the other 273 companies.

  • Put CRM experience up front

CRM is named in 28% of postings, more than any other tool or skill. Salesforce follows at 11%. If you have hands-on CRM experience, make it easy to find on your CV.

Momentum

New Sales roles each week

Last 30 days: 159 new roles, against 113 the 30 days before (+41%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
