This week's read

If you are job hunting in UAE marketing right now, the timing looks good. There are 247 open roles across 144 companies, and new postings jumped 86% compared with the previous 30 days, from 43 to 80. The weekly count has climbed steadily too: just 8 new roles the week of 7 September, up to 26 in the most recent week, with no sign yet of slowing down.

Roles are not sitting open for long. The median role stays open just 18 days, so when something matches what you do, you should move on it quickly rather than wait and think it over.

Experience bars are moderate but not low. Across the 63% of roles that state a years requirement, the median ask is 5 years, and only 10% want 10 years or more. By title, 60% of open roles sit at mid level, 15% are junior, and 14% are senior, so this is mostly a mid-career market right now rather than one for very senior leaders or entry-level starters.

On skills, social and CRM tools dominate the postings. CRM is named in 18% of roles, TikTok in 17%, and Instagram in 15%, with LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, YouTube, Google Analytics, and AI and machine learning each showing up in 9 to 11% of postings. E-commerce is the most common industry context, named in 12% of roles, ahead of fintech at 8%.

Hiring is spread out rather than concentrated in a few names. The top 8 employers, led by Itpmediagroup with 15 open roles, together account for only 25% of all open roles, and Huda Beauty, WPP Media, Wynn Al Marjan Island, Hilton, Marriott International, and NYU Abu Dhabi round out that list with 6 to 8 roles each. Remote options are rare, at just 2% of roles, and pay is almost never posted, so you will likely need to ask about salary yourself.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Move fast on applications

The median role stays open only 18 days, so do not wait if you see a posting that fits. Slow applications risk missing roles that close quickly.

  • Mid-level experience fits best

60% of open roles are mid level and the median years requirement is 5. Only 10% ask for 10 or more years, so this market is not mostly for senior leaders.

  • Expect in-office, ask about pay

Only 2% of roles are remote, and almost none post a salary. Plan to work on-site and raise pay questions yourself early in the process.

Momentum

New Marketing roles each week

Last 30 days: 80 new roles, against 43 the 30 days before (+86%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
