Brazil's Data & ML hiring is up 46%, but the weekly pace has cooled since its early-October peak
New postings jumped from 80 to 117 in a month, yet the busiest week has already passed. Here's what that means if you're job hunting now.

Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
There are 216 open Data & ML Engineer roles in Brazil right now, spread across 102 companies. New postings rose 46% over the last 30 days compared with the 30 days before. But the weekly count has eased since its peak: 34 new roles went up the week of 5 October, and that had dropped to 26 by 26 October, a 24% fall from the top.
Most postings don't ask for a wall of experience. Where years are stated, the median minimum is 3 years, and only 6% of postings ask for 10 or more. That leaves real room for people who are not at the senior end yet.
Don't expect to work from home easily. Only 8% of open roles are remote, so most hiring here still means being on site or hybrid.
Python shows up in 73% of postings, SQL in 60%, and AI and machine learning skills in 55%. AWS (34%) and Azure (30%) both appear more often than Databricks (29%), so either cloud is worth knowing.
CI&T has the most open roles with 26, ahead of Accenture's 10. But the top 8 employers together hold only 34% of all open roles, which means the rest of the market is spread thin across many smaller hirers rather than concentrated in a few big names.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Apply even if less senior
The median minimum asked is just 3 years, and only 6% of postings want 10 or more. Mid-level candidates have a real shot here.
- Don't count on remote
Only 8% of open roles are remote. Plan for on site or hybrid work when searching in this market.
- Look past the big names
The top 8 employers hold just 34% of open roles. CI&T and Accenture lead, but check smaller companies too since hiring is spread wide.
Momentum
New Data / ML roles each week
Last 30 days: 117 new roles, against 80 the 30 days before (+46%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
