Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
Operations hiring in Brazil picked up this week. There are 320 open roles right now, posted by 131 companies. New postings are up 46% over the past 30 days. The week of 26 October brought 49 new roles, the highest weekly total on record for this market so far.
One company drives much of this market: Mercado Libre has 82 open Operations roles, more than a quarter of every posting out there. Amazon follows with 25. The eight biggest employers combined hold 49% of all open roles, so if you want more options, it pays to look past the top names too.
Remote work is rare here. Just 3% of these roles can be done remotely, so plan on being in person for most Operations jobs in Brazil.
The experience bar sits toward the middle rather than the top. The median minimum years asked is 4, and 84% of open roles are labeled mid-level rather than senior or junior.
On the technical side, SQL appears in 25% of postings and Power BI in 19%, the two most asked for tools this week.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Look past the biggest name
Mercado Libre posts 82 of the 320 open roles, but Amazon, DiDi Global and well over a hundred other companies are hiring too. Checking beyond the single biggest employer widens your options.
- Expect to work in person
Only 3% of Operations roles in Brazil are remote. If you need remote work, search carefully, since most listings assume on-site or office work.
- Mid-level experience fits most roles
84% of roles are pitched at mid-level, with a median minimum of 4 years experience asked. Only 7% ask for 10 or more years, so most listings don't require a decade on the job.
Momentum
New Operations roles each week
Last 30 days: 108 new roles, against 74 the 30 days before (+46%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
