There are 2,217 open Operations roles across Europe right now, spread across 1,157 companies. New postings over the last 30 days were up 18% compared with the 30 days before. But the weekly count has slipped since a peak in the week of 19 October: the latest week is down 23% from that high point, so the pace of new roles has eased even though the monthly total is still ahead.
No single employer controls this market. The eight companies with the most open roles, including Amazon, PWC, Liebherr and Capgemini, together hold only 8% of all open roles. If you are job hunting, that means the opportunity is spread thin across many employers rather than stacked in a handful of big ones. Roles typically stay open for a median of 25 days, so there is some time to apply once you spot one.
Experience bars are moderate but not low. The median minimum asked for is 5 years, and 13% of postings want 10 or more years. Many listings do not spell this out at all, so do not assume a role is closed to you just because it looks senior on the surface.
Do not expect to work from home in this field right now: only 6% of open roles are listed as remote. Pay is also rarely stated, with just 6% of postings including a figure, so there is not enough data here to say what the market typically pays.
On the skills side, AI and machine learning shows up in 9% of postings, the single most asked-for technology right now. Logistics is the most common industry tag, named in 7% of roles, ahead of consulting, SaaS and manufacturing.
