Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
Operations hiring across the rest of Latin America picked up sharply. In the last 30 days, 162 new roles went up, against 105 in the 30 days before that, a 54% rise. The weekly count backs this up: postings ran in the 20s and 30s through September, then jumped to 53 in the week of 19 October and held at 52 the week after.
There are 372 open Operations roles right now, spread across 208 different companies. That spread matters: the top 8 employers together hold only 23% of all open roles, so this is not a market dominated by one or two big hirers. Mercado Libre has the most open roles at 32, followed by MMC at 15, with Cargill, PedidosYa, Cabify, DiDi Global, JPMorganChase and Accenture each holding single-digit counts.
Roles are not staying open long. The median listing is live for 18 days, which tells you companies are moving through applications at a decent pace once they post. If you see a role you like, there is no reason to wait.
Most of what is open is mid-level work: 72% of titles are mid, with only 13% senior and 2% principal. The experience bar matches that, a median minimum of 4 years, and just 7% of postings ask for 10 or more years. On skills, Power BI and SQL each show up in 15% of postings, with AI and machine learning and Salesforce both at 11%. Remote work is scarce here, just 8% of open roles.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Move quickly on applications
The median role stays open just 18 days, and postings are up 54% over the last month. Apply as soon as you see a fit rather than waiting.
- Target mid-level roles
72% of open titles are mid-level, and the median minimum experience asked is 4 years. Only 7% of postings want 10 or more years, so this is not a senior-heavy market.
- Check for Power BI and SQL
Power BI and SQL each appear in 15% of postings, ahead of AI and machine learning and Salesforce at 11%. These show up often enough to be worth noting on your resume if you have them.
Momentum
New Operations roles each week
Last 30 days: 162 new roles, against 105 the 30 days before (+54%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
