Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

There are 377 open Customer Support roles across 212 companies hiring in the rest of Latin America right now. New postings over the last 30 days came to 148, up 3% from the 144 posted in the prior 30 days. The weekly count has moved around some, dipping to 30 roles the week of 19 October before jumping back to 51 the week of 26 October, matching the high point set back on 28 September.

This is an easy market to get into if you are early in your career. 81% of titles are mid-level and 11% are junior, while only 7% are senior and almost none ask for 10 or more years of experience (2%). The typical posting asks for a minimum of 2 years, and only 48% of roles even state a years requirement, so plenty of listings do not screen on experience at all.

If you want to work from home, know that only 14% of open roles are remote. Most employers here are hiring for in-office or on-site work, so location will matter more than usual in your search. The median role stays open 21 days, giving you a rough sense of how long a posting tends to run before it closes.

Cnx has the most open roles of any single employer at 28, well ahead of the next group: Conduent Business Services India LLP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Transperfect each have 10, with Visa at 8, and Accenture, Conduent and Tgs at 6 each. Even so, the top 8 employers together hold only 22% of all open roles, so hiring is spread widely across the market rather than concentrated in a few names.

On skills, Microsoft Windows is named most often at 10% of postings, followed by SQL at 8%, with Linux, CRM, Salesforce, DNS and Zendesk each in the 6 to 7% range. Among ways of working, ITIL, root cause analysis and Jira each appear in 3% of postings. Certifications are rarely asked for: CCNA tops the list at just 3%.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Entry and mid level dominate

81% of roles are mid-level and 11% junior, with senior roles at just 7% and only 2% asking for 10 or more years. This market does not require a long track record.

  • Remote is rare here

Only 14% of open roles are remote. If you need to work from home, expect a narrower pool, and check the location on each listing before applying.

  • Common skills worth knowing

Microsoft Windows (10%), SQL (8%), Linux and CRM (7% each), and Salesforce, DNS and Zendesk (6% each) are the most named skills across the 359 postings read this week.

Momentum

New Customer Support roles each week

Last 30 days: 148 new roles, against 144 the 30 days before (+3%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
