Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

New finance and accounting postings across the rest of Latin America jumped 59% in the last 30 days, from 226 to 360. The weekly count climbed steadily through September and October, from 53 roles in the week of 7 September to 124 in the week of 26 October, and held at that level the following week. There are now 814 open roles at 343 companies, and the typical role stays open just 16 days, so moving quickly matters.

No single employer dominates this market. PWC leads with 45 open roles, followed by JPMorganChase at 22 and Auxis and Mercado Libre tied at 17 each. Even so, the top 8 employers together hold only 18% of all open roles, which means most of the hiring is happening at companies outside that list.

The bar for experience is not especially high. The median posting asks for 3 years of minimum experience, and only 5% of roles want 10 or more years. Only 54% of postings state a years requirement at all, so many employers are leaving the door open on seniority. Remote work is scarce: just 8% of open roles are remote.

SAP is the most requested technology, named in 22% of postings, well ahead of Power BI at 13%, and ERP and Oracle both at 9%. SQL appears in 8% of roles, and NetSuite, Python and AI and machine learning each sit at 5%. Among certifications, CPA shows up most, named in 7% of postings, with CFA and Certified Management Accountant each at 2%.

By title, this is a mid-level market: 66% of open roles are mid-level, 17% senior, 12% junior, and only 3% lead and 2% principal. Combined with the modest experience requirements, it is a market that leans toward people building a career rather than those chasing the most senior titles.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Move fast on applications

The typical posting stays open only 16 days. With postings up 59% in a month, treat new listings as time sensitive and apply early rather than waiting.

  • SAP stands out among skills

SAP is named in 22% of postings, well ahead of Power BI at 13% and ERP or Oracle at 9% each. If you have SAP experience, make sure it is visible on your application.

  • Don't rule yourself out on seniority

Only 5% of roles ask for 10 or more years of experience, and the median minimum is just 3 years. With 66% of roles classed as mid-level, this market is open to people earlier in their careers.

Momentum

New Finance roles each week

Last 30 days: 360 new roles, against 226 the 30 days before (+59%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
