Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

There are 544 open marketing roles across 252 companies in the rest of Latin America right now. The typical role stays open 23 days before it closes, so there is time to apply once you see one you like.

The weekly pace tells a two-part story. New postings climbed through September and hit a peak of 87 in the week of 5 October, then eased off to 51 by the week of 26 October, a drop of 41% from that peak. Even with that pullback, the last 30 days still brought more new roles than the 30 days before, up 40%.

Hiring is spread out, not concentrated in one or two names. The top 8 employers together hold only 25% of all open roles. WPP Media has the most open roles, followed by Scale Army Careers, Power Digital Marketing and Pavago, but none of them is close to dominating the market.

Most roles ask for a specific amount of experience: 52% of postings state a minimum, and the typical ask is 3 years. Only 5% of roles want 10 or more years, so this is not a market geared toward very senior hires. Just 21% of roles are remote, so most jobs still expect you in an office.

When it comes to skills, Meta Ads is the most requested, named in 22% of postings. On the industry side, e-commerce experience is asked for most often, showing up in 10% of roles. Certifications barely come up at all, and project tools like Asana or Notion are mentioned in only a small share of listings.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Apply even after a slow week

Weekly postings fell 41% from the October peak, but the 30-day total is still up 40% on the prior month. Don't read one quiet week as the market drying up.

  • Experience bar is moderate

The typical minimum asked is 3 years, and only 5% of roles want 10 or more years of experience. This market is not mostly chasing very senior marketers.

  • Meta Ads skill comes up most

Meta Ads is named in 22% of postings, more than any other skill. If you have that experience, make sure it's visible on your profile.

Momentum

New Marketing roles each week

Last 30 days: 252 new roles, against 180 the 30 days before (+40%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
