This week's read

If you're looking for customer support work in the rest of Asia-Pacific, there's a decent amount on the table right now: 1,467 open roles spread across 495 companies. The typical role stays open for 24 days before it's filled, so there's time to apply once you spot one you like.

New postings are up 5% over the last 30 days, 295 compared with 280 the month before. Week by week the pace has been fairly steady too: it peaked at 88 new roles the week of 19 October and sits at 86 the week after, so things haven't cooled off much.

One name shows up again and again: Teleperformance, with 264 open roles on its own. Together, the top 8 employers, including Cnx, OneMCI and Taskus, account for 32% of all open roles in this market. That's worth knowing if you want to focus your search rather than spread it thin.

This is not a market that asks for years of experience. The median minimum is just 2 years, and only 1% of postings want 10 years or more. Just under half of all roles, 48%, even state a year requirement, so plenty leave it open. One thing to note: only 8% of these roles are remote, so most will expect you to show up in person.

On skills, Microsoft Windows comes up the most, named in 23% of postings, followed by CRM systems at 9%, Zendesk at 6% and Salesforce at 5%. Formal certifications barely feature: CompTIA A+ and CCNA are each asked for in just 1% of listings. Most roles, 82%, are pitched at mid-level, so this is not a market stacked with senior openings.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Experience bar is low

The median ask is just 2 years, and only 1% of postings want 10 or more. If you're early in your career, you're not shut out of this market.

  • Start with the big employer

Teleperformance lists 264 open roles on its own, far more than any other employer here. It's a sensible first stop when you search.

  • Know the tools, skip the certs

Microsoft Windows, CRM systems, Zendesk and Salesforce are the most named skills. Certifications like CompTIA A+ and CCNA barely come up, so don't feel you need one to apply.

Momentum

New Customer Support roles each week

Last 30 days: 295 new roles, against 280 the 30 days before (+5%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
