Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
There are 1,231 open Solutions Engineer roles in India right now. New postings rose 10% over the last 30 days compared with the month before, so the market is adding jobs faster than it was.
That growth is not steady week to week. The last week on the chart brought 127 new roles, up from 61 the week before and the busiest week of the past two months.
This is a senior market. The median posting asks for at least 8 years of experience, and more than 2 in 5 roles want 10 years or more. More than half of all postings are titled principal, while just 1% are aimed at juniors.
A small group of employers controls a real share of this market: the top 8 companies hold more than 1 in 4 open roles. Infosys leads with 91 open roles, ahead of LTIMindtree, NTT DATA Services and Capgemini. Accenture moved the other way, posting 16% fewer new roles in the last 30 days than the month before.
Working from home is rare here, just 3% of roles are remote, and pay is almost never listed, with only 1% of postings naming a number. Among the skills named, AI and machine learning comes up most, in 29% of postings, ahead of cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Be ready to show seniority
The median posting asks for at least 8 years of experience, and more than 2 in 5 want 10 years or more. Make sure your resume leads with senior-level work before you apply.
- Start with the biggest hirers
Infosys, LTIMindtree, NTT DATA Services and Capgemini together hold more than 1 in 4 open roles. These four are a practical place to begin your search this week.
- Plan for office work, not pay numbers
Only 3% of roles are remote and just 1% list pay. Expect mostly on-site roles and plan to discuss salary later in the process rather than from the posting.
Momentum
New Solutions Engineering roles each week
Last 30 days: 327 new roles, against 296 the 30 days before (+10%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
