Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
There are 884 open sales roles in Singapore right now, spread across 441 companies. New postings have grown every week for eight weeks straight, from 58 in the week of 7 September to 87 in the week of 26 October, which is also the busiest week on record so far. Over the last 30 days, 297 new roles were posted, up 15% from 259 in the prior 30 days.
Most titles are mid-level: 61% of roles are tagged mid, with only 17% principal and 15% senior. But the experience bar does not match that. The median minimum experience asked is 5 years, and 19% of roles ask for 10 years or more. So a mid-level title does not always mean a light experience requirement.
Working from home is rare here. Only 3% of open roles are remote, so plan on being in Singapore and mostly in an office. Pay is almost never stated either: just 1% of postings include it, which is too few to say what the market typically pays for these roles.
DBS has the most open roles at 32, followed by OCBC at 23 and Salesforce at 16. Databricks, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, AlphaSense, JPMorganChase and Palo Alto Networks each have 10 to 12. Even so, the top 8 employers together hold just 14% of all open roles, so most of the hiring is happening outside the biggest names.
On skills, CRM is named in 18% of postings and Salesforce the platform in 14%. SaaS is the most common industry mentioned, in 16% of roles, ahead of banking, financial services, fintech and wealth management, each named in 7% to 9%.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Expect a high experience bar
The median ask is 5 years minimum, and 19% of roles want 10 years or more, even though most titles are labeled mid-level. Line up examples from your career that show that much experience.
- Plan to be on-site
Only 3% of open sales roles in Singapore are remote. If you need remote work, this market will be hard going, so weigh that before you focus here.
- Look past the biggest names
DBS, OCBC and Salesforce post the most roles, but the top 8 employers combined hold only 14% of all openings. With 441 companies hiring, widen your search beyond the familiar names.
Momentum
New Sales roles each week
Last 30 days: 297 new roles, against 259 the 30 days before (+15%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
