This week's read

The pace of new Customer Success postings in Singapore has slowed. In the last 30 days, 44 new roles went up, down 17% from the 53 posted in the prior 30 days. Look at it week by week and the slowdown is sharper: the week of 7 September saw 15 new roles, the most recent week tracked saw 9, a drop of 40% from that peak.

There are 112 open roles right now, spread across 92 companies, so no single employer controls the market. DBS and Hoxhunt lead with 4 open roles each, followed by AlphaSense, Cisco and Mastercard with 3 each. Even so, the top 8 employers together hold only 21% of all open roles, which means most of your search will happen outside the biggest names.

Experience requirements are not light. The median minimum asked for is 5 years, and 15% of postings want 10 or more years. By title, 64% of roles are mid-level, 16% senior and 9% principal, while only 8% are junior, so this is not an easy market to break into without some track record.

Two things stand out if you are weighing logistics and pay. Only 5% of open roles are remote, so most hiring expects you in Singapore and likely in an office. And on pay, almost no one is saying what they will pay: just 2% of postings post a salary, so there is not enough data here to say what the market pays.

On what employers are asking for, SaaS experience comes up most, named in 29% of postings, with financial services next at 16%. Among specific skills, AI and machine learning leads at 13%, ahead of CRM at 12% and Salesforce at 9%. Formal certifications are rarely asked for: CISSP appears in just 4% of postings, the highest of the few named.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Expect a longer wait

The median role stays open 33 days. Apply early and follow up, but do not expect a quick turnaround on most listings.

  • Bring at least 5 years

The median minimum experience asked is 5 years, and only 8% of roles are junior. This market mostly wants people with a track record already.

  • Plan to be in Singapore

Only 5% of open roles are remote. If you are hoping to work from outside Singapore, your options here are limited.

Momentum

New Customer Success roles each week

Last 30 days: 44 new roles, against 53 the 30 days before (-17%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
