Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
There are 991 open Delivery Manager roles in India right now, posted by 295 companies. The number of new roles opened each month jumped 50% compared to the prior 30 days, from 196 to 294.
The weekly numbers back this up. New postings climbed steadily from 25 in the week of 7 September to 88 in the week of 26 October, which is also the most recent week on record. So this is not a market cooling off, it is still climbing.
PWC stands out. It has 136 open roles, the most of any employer, and its own new postings rose 55% in the last 30 days, from 73 to 113. Infosys, LTIMindtree, NTT DATA Services, Capgemini, Genpact, UST and Grant Thornton INDUS round out the top eight, which together hold 42% of all open roles.
The experience bar is steep. The median posting asks for at least 7 years, and 31% want 10 years or more. Three out of four postings state a year requirement, and the seniority mix leans heavily toward mid-level and above: 53% are mid, 20% senior, 13% lead, 9% principal, and only 5% junior.
Two things to plan around if you are searching: only 3% of roles are remote, and only 1% post pay, so you will mostly be negotiating blind. On skills, SAP comes up in 17% of postings and SAP S/4HANA in 16%, Agile is named in 19%, and AI and machine learning appears in 11%.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Bring at least seven years
The median posting asks for 7+ years, and 31% want 10 or more. Roles aimed at junior candidates make up only 5% of postings, so tailor your pitch to mid-level or above experience.
- Watch PWC closely
PWC has the most open roles (136) and its new postings grew 55% in the last month, faster than the market overall. It is worth checking its listings regularly.
- Plan for on-site, unlisted pay
Only 3% of roles are remote and only 1% list a salary. Expect most searches to involve in-office work and pay discussions that happen later in the process, not upfront.
Momentum
New Delivery roles each week
Last 30 days: 294 new roles, against 196 the 30 days before (+50%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
