This week's read

There are 261 open Delivery Manager roles in Canada right now, spread across 142 companies. New postings rose 47% over the last 30 days, from 70 to 103. The pace has held through the latest week too, so this looks like a real pickup, not a one-week blip.

Huron and BDO post the most roles, followed by Capgemini and Accenture. Together the top 8 employers hold 29% of all open roles, so the market is not controlled by one or two names. Capgemini is on Canada's LMIA sponsor list, but across the whole market only 4% of open roles sit at employers with recent visa filings, so sponsorship is the exception rather than the rule.

Employers are asking for experience. The median posting wants at least 5 years, and 1 in 5 roles ask for 10 or more. By title, mid level makes up 47% of postings, senior 20%, and principal 15%. Junior-titled roles are rare, at just 4%.

Pay is posted on 48% of open roles, which is 127 postings. Across all levels the typical range runs from C$109k to C$155k. Senior and lead roles typically run C$115k to C$165k, while mid level roles run C$97k to C$139k.

On skills, AI and machine learning shows up in 20% of postings, more than any other technology named. Agile is asked for in 18% of postings and PMP is named in 12%. Only 10% of open roles are remote, and the typical listing stays open for 24 days before closing.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Postings just picked up

New roles rose 47% in 30 days, from 70 to 103, and the latest week kept pace. This looks like a good window to apply while demand is up.

  • Visa sponsorship is rare

Only 4% of open roles sit at employers with recent LMIA filings. Capgemini is on that list. Check sponsorship status directly before counting on it.

  • Experience bar is high

The median posting asks for 5 years, and 1 in 5 want 10 or more. Junior-titled roles make up just 4% of postings, so this market leans toward mid and senior candidates.

Momentum

New Delivery roles each week

Last 30 days: 103 new roles, against 70 the 30 days before (+47%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. Pay is the median of the yearly ranges employers post; level is read from the job title. Visa sponsors are employers matched to the government's own sponsor records. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
