Companies read for 60 days or moreThis week's read
There are 488 open Delivery Manager roles in the UK right now, spread across 273 companies. New postings climbed 64% in the last 30 days, from 111 to 182. With a median of 18 days before a role closes, this is a market where you need to move once you see something you like.
Capgemini, PWC, Amazon and Salesforce post the most roles, but even the biggest employers together make up only 23% of all open roles. That means most of the hiring is happening outside the familiar big names, across the other employers in this market.
Experience bars are high. The median minimum asked for is 5 years, and 14% of postings want at least 10 years. Junior titles barely feature, so this is mostly a market for people already a few years into their delivery career.
If you need a visa, half of all open roles sit at employers with recent visa filings. Capgemini, PWC, Amazon and Salesforce all appear on the UK Home Office sponsor register. Remote work is limited though, just 13% of roles are listed as remote.
Agile is named in a quarter of postings, more than any other method or tool. Pay is rarely shown: only 9% of listings post a figure, too few to say what the market typically pays.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Apply fast once you see a fit
New postings are up 64% and roles close in a median of 18 days. Waiting a week to apply likely means missing roles that have already closed.
- Look past the big names
Capgemini, PWC, Amazon and Salesforce lead postings, but the top employers only hold 23% of open roles. Check smaller and mid-size companies too.
- Be ready to show years of experience
The median minimum asked is 5 years, and 14% of postings want 10 or more. Junior roles are scarce, so highlight relevant delivery experience clearly.
Momentum
New Delivery roles each week
Last 30 days: 182 new roles, against 111 the 30 days before (+64%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
