Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

There are 154 open Delivery Manager roles in Australia right now, spread across 97 companies. New postings are up 26% over the last 30 days compared to the 30 days before that. The growth is not steady and small: the week of 26 Oct brought 19 new roles on its own, well above every other week since early September.

Deloitte Services Pty has the most open roles, with 14. Collaborative follows with 8, and Amazon has 5. Even so, the top 8 employers only hold 29% of all open roles between them, so this is not a market run by a handful of big names. With 97 companies hiring, you have a wide field to apply into.

This is a senior market. The median posting asks for at least 5 years of experience, and 22% of roles want 10 years or more. Looking at job titles, 49% are mid level, 21% senior, 14% lead and 14% principal, with junior titles making up just 2%. If you are early in your career, this is a hard market to break into right now.

Only 12% of roles are remote, so plan on being on-site or hybrid for most of these jobs. Pay is rarely posted either: just 3% of listings state a figure, which is too few to say what the market pays. Agile is named in 17% of postings and AI and machine learning in 15%, with Workday, SAP, PRINCE2 and PMP also showing up often enough to be worth noting.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Apply now, hiring is accelerating

New roles rose 26% over the last 30 days, with a sharp jump in the week of 26 Oct to 19 new postings. This is a good window to get applications in while employers are actively adding roles.

  • This market wants experience

The median posting asks for 5 years minimum, and 22% want 10 or more. Titles skew senior too: just 2% are junior. If you have 5 or more years behind you, you are better positioned here.

  • Do not expect remote by default

Only 12% of open roles are remote, so most will need you on-site or hybrid. Check location requirements closely before applying rather than assuming flexibility.

Momentum

New Delivery roles each week

Last 30 days: 43 new roles, against 34 the 30 days before (+26%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
