This week's read

Finance and accounting hiring in Mexico sped up this autumn. In the last 30 days, companies posted 321 new roles, up 64% from 196 in the prior 30 days. The weekly count has climbed most weeks since early September, reaching 107 new postings in the week of 26 October, the busiest week on record in this data.

Once a role goes up, it does not sit for long. The median open role has been live just 16 days. With 904 roles open right now across 362 companies, that turnover means fresh postings appear often, so checking back regularly matters more than waiting on old listings.

Empleos.Banorte.Com has the most open roles of any employer, 51, well ahead of HP with 24 and PWC with 23. Flextronics and Flowserve each have 15 open, MMC has 14, Genpact has 12 and BBVA has 11. Even so, the top 8 employers together hold only 18% of all open roles, so the demand is spread across a wide range of companies rather than concentrated in a few.

SAP is the most asked for tool, named in 27% of postings, followed by Oracle and Power BI, each at 11%, and ERP systems generally at 10%. On the credentials side, CPA appears in 12% of postings, well ahead of CFA at 3%. Remote work is limited, with only 7% of open roles offering it.

Most roles target the middle of the career ladder. Mid-level titles make up 67% of postings, junior roles 12%, and senior roles 16%. The median posting asks for 3 years of minimum experience, and only 5% ask for 10 or more years, so this is not a market weighted toward very senior hires.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • SAP comes up most often

SAP is named in 27% of postings, more than any other tool. Oracle, Power BI and general ERP experience also show up regularly, each in 10 to 11% of postings.

  • Move quickly once you see a role

The median open role stays posted for just 16 days. With hiring up 64% month over month, new postings appear often, so check back frequently rather than relying on older listings.

  • Most openings are mid-level, not senior

67% of roles are mid-level and only 5% ask for 10 or more years of experience. The median minimum years asked for is 3, so this market is not weighted toward very senior candidates.

Momentum

New Finance roles each week

Last 30 days: 321 new roles, against 196 the 30 days before (+64%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
