Mexico marketing postings up 44% in 30 days, but weekly pace has cooled from its October peak

Hiring is still growing month over month, but the weekly flow of new roles has slowed since early October. Most of the opportunity sits with mid-level marketers, spread across many companies rather than a handful of big names.

Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

Marketing hiring in Mexico is busy right now: 349 roles are open, posted by 195 different companies. A typical role stays open for 23 days before it is filled or taken down. New postings are up 44% over the last 30 days compared with the 30 days before that, but the weekly pace has eased since its peak in early October, falling by 51% from that high point to the most recent week.

No single company dominates this market. Monks has the most open roles, followed by WPP Media and DiDi Global, with Tinuiti, Pavago and Wunderman Thompson also hiring. Even so, the top 8 employers together hold just 19% of all open roles, so most of the opportunity sits outside the biggest names.

Most roles target the middle of a career, with 69% of titles marked mid-level. Only 7% of postings ask for 10 years of experience or more, so this is not a market built around veterans.

Remote work is limited, with only 15% of open roles offering it, so most jobs expect you in an office. On skills, TikTok is the most named tool, appearing in 14% of postings, just ahead of Meta Ads and AI and machine learning. E-commerce is the most named industry among postings.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Mid-level is the sweet spot

69% of open titles are mid-level and only 7% ask for 10 or more years of experience. If you are not a veteran, you still fit most of what employers want here.

  • Look past the top names

195 companies are hiring, but the top 8 employers hold just 19% of all open roles. Check smaller firms like Agency Within and DoorDash Mexico, not just the biggest agencies.

  • Plan for office work

Only 15% of open roles are remote, so most jobs expect you in person. TikTok and Meta Ads are the most named skills, so having them on your resume may help.

Momentum

New Marketing roles each week

Last 30 days: 166 new roles, against 115 the 30 days before (+44%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
