Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

Legal and compliance hiring in Brazil picked up speed. New postings rose from 29 to 47 over the last 30 days, a 62% jump. Weekly postings also climbed through October, reaching 18 new roles in the week of 26 October, the highest of the eight weeks tracked.

This is not a market dominated by one or two names. Accenture leads with 10 open roles, but the top 8 employers together hold only 30% of all open roles. The rest are spread across Job Duck, BTG Pactual, Inter, Jobs at Petra Group, Clara, Clifford Chance and Ebanx, each with a handful of positions. With 71 companies hiring out of 100 total roles, there is no single gatekeeper here.

Most roles are aimed at the middle of a career. 70% of postings are for mid-level titles, with only 15% senior and 4% principal. Where years of experience are stated, which is true for 1 in 3 roles, the median minimum asked is 5 years, and only 6% want 10 or more. Roles also move fast: the median listing stays open just 14 days.

Fintech knowledge shows up often, named in 18% of postings, alongside AML at 11% and KYC at 9%. Certifications are asked for less: CAMS appears in 4% of roles, CIPP in 3%, CIPM in 2%. On the technology side, AI and machine learning is named in 7% of postings and Power BI in 5%, well ahead of tools like CRM, ChatGPT, Claude, HubSpot or Tableau, each at 2%.

Remote work is not common in this market. Only 11% of open roles are listed as remote, so most legal and compliance hiring in Brazil still expects you in an office.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Move quickly on postings

The median role stays open just 14 days. With postings up 62% over the last month, new roles are appearing fast, so do not wait long to apply once you see one that fits.

  • Mid-level roles dominate

70% of postings are for mid-level titles. If you have a few years of experience but not a decade, you are squarely in the market's sweet spot: only 6% of roles ask for 10-plus years.

  • Know fintech, AML and KYC

These three areas show up in 18%, 11% and 9% of postings. Certifications like CAMS, CIPP and CIPM appear far less often, so direct subject knowledge may matter more than credentials here.

Momentum

New Legal roles each week

Last 30 days: 47 new roles, against 29 the 30 days before (+62%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
