There are 970 open Product Manager roles in India right now, spread across 426 companies. New postings are up 32% over the last 30 days compared to the 30 days before. The weekly count has been climbing most weeks since mid September and the latest week matches the highest point so far, so the pace has not slowed.
This is not an entry level market. The median minimum experience asked for is 6 years, and 1 in 4 postings want 10 years or more. Three out of four postings state a years requirement at all, so most employers are being specific about where they draw the line.
GSK, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Paytm and Axis Bank are among the biggest employers hiring for this role, and together the top 8 companies hold 24% of all open roles. The rest of the market is spread thin across hundreds of other companies, so it pays to look beyond the biggest names too.
If you want to work from home, options are limited: only 3% of open roles are remote. On skills, AI and machine learning is named in 31% of postings, well ahead of anything else, and Agile is named in 37%.
