Right now there are 1,392 open Product Manager roles across Europe, spread across 865 companies. Over the past 30 days, 512 new roles were posted, almost the same as the 518 in the 30 days before that, a 1% dip. On the surface this looks steady.
But the week by week picture tells a different story. New postings hit a peak of 149 roles in the week of 19 October, then fell to 104 roles by the week of 26 October, a drop of 30% from that peak. If you have felt hiring slow down in the last couple of weeks, the numbers back that up, even though the monthly total has not moved much.
Experience bars are moderate but not light. Where years are stated, which is only 47% of roles, the median ask is 5 years, and 12% of roles want 10 or more years of experience. Most roles sit at mid level, 59% of all postings, with 20% senior and 12% principal, so there is real room below the top end.
Agile is the word you will see most, named in 23% of postings, followed by Jira in 9% and Scrum in 8%. On the tech side, AI and machine learning appear in 22% of postings, well ahead of SQL at 6%. Few roles mention a certification: Professional Scrum Product Owner and CSPO each appear in just 1%.
Remote roles are scarce, just 12% of open postings, so most hiring expects you in an office or hybrid setup. Pay is also rarely shown, only 7% of roles post a figure, so there is not enough data to say what the market typically pays. Hiring is spread thin too: the top 8 employers, including Ewor GmbH, Hubvisory and Capgemini, together hold just 7% of all open roles, so no single company dominates this market.
