Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

There are 136 Project Manager roles open in Singapore right now, spread across 91 different employers. A role sits open for a median of 39 days, so this is not a market where jobs vanish overnight. But the flow of new postings has slowed: 43 new roles went up in the last 30 days, down from 50 in the 30 days before, a 14% drop.

Look week by week and the slowdown is sharper still. New postings peaked at 16 in the week of 19 October, then fell to just 6 in the week of 26 October, a 62% drop from that peak. If you have been waiting for a quiet week to apply, this past week was about as quiet as it gets.

No single company dominates. The top 8 employers together hold only 26% of all open roles. Network For Electronic Transfers (S) has the most at 6, followed by Deloitte SEA and SG Gov Terp at 5 each, then DBS, HMGICS, OCBC and Unison Group at 4 apiece, and NTU at 3. Financial services and banking are the industries that ask for this role most, named in 13% and 10% of postings.

Most roles want someone with real experience: the median ask is 5 years, and 19% of postings want 10 years or more, while 73% of listings state a years requirement at all. On tools, Agile is named in a quarter of postings and Jira in 16%, while PMP appears in 22% and PRINCE2 in 10%. Remote options are rare, at just 1% of roles, and only 1% of postings share a pay figure, so there is not enough data here to say what this market pays.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Expect a slower week

New postings fell 62% from their 19 October peak to just 6 in the week of 26 October. Do not read a quiet week as the market drying up for good, but do not expect a flood of new roles right now either.

  • No single employer to chase

The top 8 employers hold only 26% of open roles between them. Spread your search across financial services and banking firms rather than fixating on one big name.

  • Know the experience bar

The median ask is 5 years, and 19% of postings want 10 years or more. If you are earlier in your career, look closely at postings before applying since most roles do state a years requirement.

New Project Management roles each week

Last 30 days: 43 new roles, against 50 the 30 days before (-14%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
