Ashney Market WatchIrelandSales Issue of 2 November 2026

Ireland sales hiring holds flat, and it's a Salesforce-shaped market

473 sales roles are open across 183 companies, with new postings almost unchanged from a month ago. The skills list and the top employer list both point to the same tool.

This week's read

There are 473 open sales roles in Ireland right now, spread across 183 companies. New postings in the last 30 days came to 207, almost exactly matching the 208 posted in the 30 days before that. Weekly new roles have stayed in a similar band for 8 weeks, dipping slightly from a peak of 60 the week of 28 September to 57 the week of 26 October.

A handful of employers account for a lot of the volume. Salesforce alone has 72 open roles, well ahead of Stripe (26), Rippling (23) and Salessense (22). Together the top 8 employers hold 38% of all open sales roles in the country, so a small group of companies shapes much of what you'll see when you search.

If visa sponsorship matters to you, pay attention to who has filed recently. 35% of open roles sit at employers with recent filings on Ireland's employment permits list. Stripe, Rippling and Fisher Investments are named on that list, which narrows things down if you need a permit to work.

The skills picture is clear: Salesforce the tool is named in 30% of postings and CRM more broadly in 26%, well ahead of LinkedIn Ads at 8% and AI and machine learning at 6%. SaaS is the most named industry, showing up in 22% of roles. On experience, the median minimum asked is 3 years, and only 10% of roles want 10 or more years, so this is mostly a market for people in the middle of their career rather than at the very senior end.

Two things to know before you apply: remote work is rare, with just 5% of roles offering it, and pay is posted in only 13% of listings, too few to say what the market typically pays. Mid-level titles dominate at 79% of postings, with senior roles at 9% and principal at 6%. The typical role stays open for 29 days, so timing your application matters.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Know your CRM tools

Salesforce is named in 30% of postings and CRM broadly in 26%. If you're not already comfortable with these, expect to see them come up often in this market.

  • Check visa sponsor employers first

35% of open roles sit at companies with recent visa filings. Stripe, Rippling and Fisher Investments are named on Ireland's employment permits list, a useful starting point if you need sponsorship.

  • Don't expect remote work

Only 5% of open sales roles are remote. If location flexibility matters to you, plan for mostly on-site or hybrid roles in this market.

New Sales roles each week

Last 30 days: 207 new roles, against 208 the 30 days before (0%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. Visa sponsors are employers matched to the government's own sponsor records. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
