Customer support hiring up 28% this month, but weekly postings have cooled from their early-October peak
Ireland added 68 new customer support roles in the past 30 days, up from 53 before, though the weekly pace has fallen 26% since its 5 October peak.

Companies read for 60 days or moreThis week's read
There are 106 open customer support roles in Ireland right now, spread across 67 companies. The typical role has been open 21 days. New postings are up 28% over the last 30 days, 68 compared with 53 in the 30 days before that.
But the week-by-week picture shows the market has slowed from its best week. New postings peaked the week of 5 October at 23 roles. By the week of 26 October, that had dropped to 17, a 26% fall from the peak.
Salesforce, Amazon, Salessense, Cohesity, NTRS, Dell, Marriott International and Pure Storage hold the most listings between them, together accounting for 32% of all open roles. Amazon and Cohesity are on Ireland's employment permits sponsor list, and 35% of open roles sit at employers with recent visa filings, worth checking if you need sponsorship.
Most roles ask for a median minimum of 3 years' experience, and only 4% want 10 or more years. 74% of titles are mid-level, so this is a market built around solid, not senior, experience. Microsoft Windows is the most asked-for skill, named in 20% of postings, followed by TCP/IP at 14% and DNS at 13%.
Flexibility is limited: only 4% of roles are remote. Pay is rarely posted too, just 13% of listings include it, so there isn't enough data to say what the market typically pays.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Weekly postings have cooled since October peak
The week of 5 October saw 23 new roles, the strongest so far. By 26 October that had fallen to 17, a 26% drop from the peak, even though the 30-day count is still up 28%.
- Pay and remote options stay rare
Only 13% of listings post a salary and just 4% are remote. Plan to ask about pay directly and expect most roles to be office-based.
- Most roles want 3 years, not more
The median minimum asked is 3 years' experience, and only 4% of postings want 10 or more. 74% of titles sit at mid-level, so solid experience matters more than seniority.
Momentum
New Customer Support roles each week
Last 30 days: 68 new roles, against 53 the 30 days before (+28%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
