Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

New Solutions Engineer postings in Brazil rose 33% in the last 30 days, 56 new roles compared with 42 in the previous 30 days. There are 127 open roles right now spread across 86 companies, and the typical role stays open 34 days before it's filled or pulled.

Week by week, hiring built through October. The week of 5 October was the strongest with 18 new roles, and the most recent week, 26 October, stayed close behind at 17. So the pace has come off its peak slightly, but it hasn't dropped away.

Look at the titles and the market splits in an unusual way: 46% are mid level, 33% are principal, and only 17% are senior, with junior and lead roles barely showing up at 3% and 1%. On experience, the median posting asks for 5 years minimum, and 14% ask for 10 or more. But only 45% of postings state a years requirement at all, so for over half the open roles, your experience level isn't filtered on paper.

Don't expect to work from home easily: just 11% of open roles are remote. Amazon leads the named hirers with 10 open roles, Salesforce has 9, and Accenture, Bunge, Databricks, HR PATH and Palo Alto Networks each have 3. Together the top 8 employers account for 28% of all open roles, so the rest of the market is spread thin across many smaller hirers.

On skills, AI and machine learning is the most asked for, named in 24% of postings, followed by Python at 22%, AWS at 18% and Azure at 16%. Certifications barely come up: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CISSP and Salesforce Certified Technical Architect are each named in only 2% of postings.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Apply now, hiring is active

New postings rose 33% in the last 30 days and the weekly pace is still near its October peak. This is a good window to put in applications before the pace cools further.

  • Don't rule yourself out on years

Only 45% of postings state a minimum years requirement, even though the median ask is 5 years. If you're under that mark, many roles still don't filter on experience up front.

  • Plan for onsite or hybrid

Only 11% of open roles are remote, so most Solutions Engineer hiring in Brazil expects you in an office. Factor that into where you look and apply.

Momentum

New Solutions Engineering roles each week

Last 30 days: 56 new roles, against 42 the 30 days before (+33%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
