Roles closed in the last 90 daysThis week's read
There are 109 open Delivery Manager roles in Singapore right now, spread across 66 companies. New postings are up 28% over the last 30 days compared with the 30 days before that, so there is more coming onto the market than there was a month ago.
One name stands out: Deloitte SEA has 17 open roles on its own, more than any other employer here. Add PWC, Rolling Arrays, Temus, Palo Alto Networks, Citco, Unison Group and Accenture, and the top 8 employers together hold 41% of all open roles. That is a lot of this market sitting with a small group of firms.
This is not an easy market for someone early in their career. The median posting asks for at least 6 years of experience, and 26% want 10 years or more. Only 3% of roles are aimed at junior people, while half sit at mid level and another 18% at senior. If you are building toward this role, expect the bar to be set high.
Working from home is rare here: only 4% of roles are remote, so plan on being in Singapore and in the office most of the time. Pay is barely mentioned at all, just 1% of postings state a figure, so you will be negotiating mostly blind.
On the skills side, financial services is the industry most often named, in 22% of postings, ahead of consulting at 13%. Agile is asked for in 20% of roles, well ahead of specific tools like SAP or SQL, which each sit around 9%. PMP is named in 7% of postings, a minority but not nothing.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Expect a senior bar
The median posting asks for 6 years of experience, and a quarter want 10 years or more. Only 3% of roles are junior, so this market is built for mid to senior candidates.
- Watch the top employers
Deloitte SEA alone has 17 open roles, and the top 8 employers hold 41% of the market between them. Checking their pages regularly may turn up more than general job boards.
- Plan to be in the office
Only 4% of roles are remote, so if you need flexibility on location, this is a hard market for it. Budget for being on site in Singapore most of the week.
Momentum
New Delivery roles each week
Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
