This week's read

Hiring for IT and infrastructure roles in Brazil grew 24% over the last 30 days, with 93 new postings compared to 75 in the prior month. But the weekly pace has eased since its peak: the week of 19 October brought 33 new roles, the most of any week in this stretch, and the week after fell to 21, a drop of 36% from that high. The month looks strong, the most recent week less so.

There are 204 open roles right now, spread across 117 different companies. Roles do not stay open long: the median listing lasts just 15 days. That is a short window, so if you see something that fits, it pays to move quickly rather than wait.

No single employer dominates. The eight companies with the most listings, including Bunge, DXC Technology, Kyndryl and C6 Bank, together hold only 24% of all open roles. That means most of the market is spread across smaller postings rather than concentrated in a few big hiring pushes.

Cloud and infrastructure tools show up often. Python and Terraform each appear in 34% of postings, AWS in 33%, and Kubernetes in 30%. Azure, Linux and Google Cloud follow close behind. ITIL is asked for in 18% of roles, more than any other way of working listed.

Most postings call for mid-level experience: 66% of titles fall into that band, with only 20% senior and 8% principal. Where years are stated, the median minimum is 5, and just 9% ask for 10 or more. Remote work is uncommon here: only 12% of open roles are listed as remote.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Apply fast, roles close in 15 days

The median listing stays open just 15 days. If a role matches your skills, do not wait, since many postings disappear within two weeks.

  • Remote is rare here

Only 12% of open roles are listed as remote. Most IT infrastructure hiring in Brazil right now expects you in an office or on a hybrid setup.

  • Cloud skills come up often

Python and Terraform each appear in 34% of postings, AWS in 33%, Kubernetes in 30%. These are the tools showing up most across this market's listings.

Momentum

New IT / Infra roles each week

Last 30 days: 93 new roles, against 75 the 30 days before (+24%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
