Issue of 2 November 2026

This week's read

Customer Support hiring in Brazil picked up pace this month. The last 30 days brought 81 new postings, up 19% from the 68 posted in the prior 30 days. There are 191 open roles right now across 118 companies.

The weekly numbers back this up. New postings climbed most weeks since early September, from 10 the week of 7 Sep to 28 the week of 26 Oct, which is the highest weekly count on the line so far.

Cnx has the most open roles by far, with 20. Rimini Street follows with 8. Together the top 8 employers, which also include Gympass, Kyndryl, Aveva, Despegar and Diebold Nixdorf, hold 26% of all open roles, so most hiring is spread across smaller employers rather than concentrated at the top.

Most roles target people already in the field: the median posting asks for 3 years of experience, and only 6% ask for 10 years or more. Seniority stated in titles leans mid level too, at 82%, with 12% junior and 4% senior. Only 24% of postings state a years requirement at all, so many ads leave this open.

On tools, SQL is the most asked skill at 14%, followed by Microsoft Windows at 12%, then SAP, Linux and Zendesk each at 9%. ITIL and root cause analysis each appear in 9% of postings too. Remote options are limited: only 12% of open roles are remote, and the median role stays open 22 days.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Hiring is picking up

New postings rose 19% over the last 30 days compared with the month before, and the most recent week was the busiest yet. This is a good time to apply.

  • Look past the biggest name

Cnx has the most open roles, but the top 8 employers combined hold only 26% of all postings. Check smaller employers too, not just the famous ones.

  • Years of experience rarely rule you out

Only 6% of postings ask for 10 or more years, and the median ask is 3 years. Most titles are mid level, so this market does not demand long tenure to get in.

Momentum

New Customer Support roles each week

Last 30 days: 81 new roles, against 68 the 30 days before (+19%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
