Issue of 2 November 2026This week's read
There are 228 open project manager roles across 140 companies in the rest of Latin America right now. A role stays open for a median of 24 days before it is filled or pulled. New postings rose 4% over the last 30 days compared with the 30 days before that, a small but real uptick.
The weekly pace backs that up. The week of 26 October brought 26 new roles, matching the busiest week on record in this stretch, so hiring did not slow into November, it held its pace.
Experience requirements are not light. The median posting asks for at least five years, and 10% want ten years or more. Even so, most titles are still mid-level: 68% of roles are labelled mid, with senior titles making up 17% and lead roles just 4%.
If you need to work from home, this market will be hard. Only 12% of open roles are remote, so the large majority expect you on site or in a hybrid setup.
Hiring is spread thin. The top 8 employers together hold only 26% of all open roles, meaning no single company dominates. Among the names appearing most are Wood, Auxis, Encora 10 and JPMorganChase. On the credentials side, PMP is named in 22% of postings, more than any other certification tracked.
What this means for you
Three things you can act on this week
- Expect five years minimum
The median project manager posting asks for at least five years of experience, and 10% of roles want ten years or more. Check your background against this before you apply.
- Remote is rare here
Only 12% of open project manager roles are remote. Most employers expect you on site or hybrid, so plan around your location before you search.
- PMP comes up often
PMP is named in 22% of postings, more than any other certification tracked in this market. It is not required everywhere, but it is worth knowing how often it appears.
Momentum
New Project Management roles each week
Last 30 days: 83 new roles, against 80 the 30 days before (+4%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.
