This week's read

The weekly pace of new Talent Acquisition postings has eased a lot from its peak. The week of 7 September brought 31 new roles. By the week of 26 October that was down to 9, a 71% drop from the high point. Looking at the last 30 days against the 30 days before, new postings fell from 93 to 76, down 18%.

That slowdown has not shrunk the overall market much yet. There are still 313 open Talent Acquisition roles spread across 209 companies, and the typical role stays open 28 days before it is likely filled or pulled. No single employer controls this market either: the top 8 employers combined hold only 15% of all open roles.

Among those top employers, Flextronics and Teleperformance each have 7 open roles, with Prudential and Vision close behind at 6 each. With that many companies hiring and no concentration at the top, there is no one place to focus a search.

On experience, the median posting asks for 4 years as a minimum, and 9% of postings want 10 years or more. Only 60% of postings state a minimum at all, so plenty leave room to apply without ticking an exact year count. Remote work is limited here: just 13% of open roles are remote.

Looking at what employers ask for in postings, an ATS is named in 26% of them, the most common tool by far. LinkedIn Ads appears in 12%, LinkedIn Recruiter in 11%, and Workday in 10%. By seniority, mid-level titles make up 63% of postings, senior 17%, and junior 12%.

What this means for you

Three things you can act on this week

  • Expect fewer new postings weekly

New roles have dropped from 31 a week at the peak to 9 most recently, a 71% fall. Fewer fresh postings land each week now, so check back often rather than expecting a steady stream.

  • Four years is the bar

The median posting asks for 4 years minimum experience, and only 9% want 10 years or more. With 60% of postings stating a minimum at all, many leave room to apply without an exact year count.

  • Remote roles are rare here

Only 13% of open Talent Acquisition roles in this market are remote. If you need remote work, filter for it early since most postings are not offering it.

Momentum

New Recruiting roles each week

Last 30 days: 76 new roles, against 93 the 30 days before (-18%). Each week counts the same companies, and a role counts as new only in the week it was posted, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth.

How we count

Ashney reads companies' own careers sites directly, hourly, not job boards. A role posted for many cities counts once, and staffing agencies are left out. A role counts as new in the week it was posted, and every change is measured at the same companies in both periods, so a careers site we start reading never shows up as growth. The written read is by the Ashney Intelligence Engine from this issue's numbers only, and every number and employer in it is checked against them before it is published. This report is written weekly; issue of 2 November 2026.
